Alter the names of items:
On the menu screen, go into the equip menu. Choose the item of 
your choice, choose the status of the item, and press X twice on 
the item. A name creation screen will become visible, and you 
can enter the name for the item. 

Monster eggs:
Always look for monster eggs in the boss levels. There is almost 
always one here ! Also if you can't find a monster egg in a 
given battle area, then leave and return. Keep doing this until 
you get a monster egg. When you do get a monster egg, remember 
the spots where the monster egg usually comes, and place food 
there. But remember that you can only have a max of 5 pieces of 
food placed at a time.
